Fantasy
I love fantasy. It's where I spent most of my childhood-my head buried in a book, living in another world. Constructing a believable world isn't as easy as changing the spelling of a few words and uplifting cultures. Everything has to tie together, there has to be a reason for laws, religion, taboos. For me that is the fun of fantasy. The freedom to let my imagination go.
My short story Dar-otter, Pearl otter, Can't find me was published in issue 10 of Wet Ink Magazine.
If your life was planned by the stars you were born under, what would you do to escape? After a chance meeting with Tarn, a dar-otter slave, Mina can no longer accept what Fate handed her. Tarn is no different, trapped by circumstance.
One choice frees Tarn.
One choice damns Mina.
One choice brings them together...
